my book cover!!! and preorder info!!!
Hi friends and readers!!! Welcome to this VERY SPECIAL edition of my author newsletter. For more info on what this newsletter is, see the about page. For more info on who I am, check out my website.
So!!! As noted in the subject line of this email…
I can finally share the COVER of my BOOK with the WORLD!!!
ARE YOU READY?
OKAY!!!
HERE IT IS:

I know, right? This cover is THAT bitch. I’m so in love with the splashy design (by Little, Brown designer Liam Donnelly) and so grateful for the incredible blurb from the ICONIC James Patterson.
When I started writing this book, I was coming off the failures of two previous manuscripts that had been turned down by countless agents/publishers over the course of nearly ten years. Sometimes I’d get feedback that editors loved my characters and voice, but the plot wasn’t quite pulling them in. So my #1 intention with this project was to retain the voice/humor/themes of my past work — but to package them in the form of a high-stakes page-turner. I quickly learned that this is not an easy feat! At several points in the writing process, I literally looked to the works of James Patterson (and other commercially successful authors) for inspiration. So to have this WILD praise from the master himself on the cover of MY book is such a validating, full-circle, dream-come-true moment! I’m just a giant puddle of gratitude and awe right now.
I know what you’re thinking: “WHEN can I preorder this UNFORGETTABLE book??? And from where???”
And the answer is: Right now! From the retailer of your choice!
Not to sound all beggy or anything, but I would be so grateful if you’d consider placing a preorder and/or sharing this newsletter and preorder information as far and wide as you feel comfortable with. (If you’re not an online-shopper, you can also ask your local bookstore and/or library to ensure they reserve a copy for you when it comes out.)
Preorders are EXTREMELY important to the success of debut novels for several reasons:
They indicate reader interest in the book; enough preorders can help generate serious pre-publication buzz within the book world.
High preorder numbers can encourage the publisher to increase the book’s initial print run AND encourage booksellers to increase their initial order numbers.
All preorders count toward first-week sales, which can increase the book’s chances at debuting on bestseller lists.
So with that said! Below are some links to preorder via the online retailer of your choice:
You can also add Burn It All Down on Goodreads here!
Okay. I think that’s all for now. Thank you so much as always for reading, subscribing, sharing, and supporting. I can’t wait for this book to get into your (and my) hands in just under eight months!!! EEEEEH!
Nic
