THE GAY BEST FRIEND season is now upon us
Hello and welcome to this special MY-SECOND-BOOK-COMES-OUT-NEXT-WEEK edition of NicNews!!! Let’s dive right into the latest.
I had the best time in MA this weekend
This past Saturday I had the honor of participating in a full day of conversations and book signings at Ashland Public Library in Ashland, MA. I met a ton of amazing readers and signed WAY more books than I expected to, thanks to Aesop’s Fable, a fantastic local bookstore that was able to stock The Gay Best Friend ten days early. I even signed a few copies of Burn It All Down! Best of all, I gained much wisdom and made several new friends in the (ten!) incredible authors who presented with me. It was truly the perfect weekend to kick off my TGBF promo tour!
If you’re in the Saratoga Springs, NY area, I’d LOVE to see you at Northshire Bookstore next Wednesday 5/31 at 6pm. The event is with my longtime writing bestie Steven Salvatore (whose book also launches next week!) so the conversation is SURE to be popcorn-worthy. More information can be found at Northshire’s website here. (No tickets or RSVP required - you can just show up!)
Ohio readers! I am coming for you!
I’m ecstatic to share that I’ll be in-person in Dayton, OH on Saturday 6/10 for an exclusive event hosted by THE Books-A-Million. The author lineup for this one is so stacked (Lucy Score’s Things We Never Got Over was literally just on the NYT bestseller list for 32 actual weeks?!), I’m pinching myself that I was even invited. Tickets are available here and they have been going FAST, so if you’re a reader in the area be sure to scoop yours up ASAP before it sells out!
More events listed below, but as always my website will have the most up-to-date info. Connecticut appearance is still TBD (it’s been a sliiight challenge finding a CT-based author available to be a conversation partner) but I promise that will get its own newsletter entirely once it (hopefully) gets scheduled!
Thurs 6/8 at 6pm: Panel discussion at Northshire Bookstore in Saratoga Springs, NY. Details coming soon!
Wed 6/28 at 8:30pm (ET): Virtual event (Zoom) with Adventures By The Book - details here!
Wed 8/16: In-person panel at The Strand in NYC. More details coming soon!
only a week left to get a preorder in!!!
Although TBH in recent days I’ve gotten pictures from readers in Texas, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, and NYC who all saw it stocked on tables in their local Barnes & Nobles already, sooo there’s also that?! I never have any idea how to feel when this happens. On the one hand, I’m thrilled readers are getting the book early; on the other hand, I’m like, “Retailers would never pull this shit on Nora Roberts,” but mostly I realize it’s not really any of my business in the first place. IN ANY CASE, here are the preorder links yet again!
Northshire Bookstore (my local indie — ask for a signed/personalized copy in the order comments!)
that’s all for now
THANK YOU SO MUCH AS ALWAYS FOR READING AND SUPPORTING! I’m so excited for what’s to come, and I hope to meet many of you soon!!!
