Hi friends and readers! Welcome to the first 2022 edition of my author newsletter. For more info on what this newsletter is, see the about page. For more info on who I am, check out my website. a quick life update before I get to the fun stuff Sooo this year did not start out great for me. I may or may not tell the long version of this story eventually, but the short version is that I severely injured my upper arm in January and underwent major surgery (to the tune of 4 hours, a 10-inch metal plate, and 15 screws drilled into my bone) to save it. I’m still recovering and have a ways to go until I’m operating at 100%, but I’m making progress every day. This experience has been extremely painful in more ways than one — BUT it has also given me a new perspective on life, adaptability, and resilience, and I’ll never take my health for granted again. I’m very grateful to have received such great care and to be on the mend!
